Southeast Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians (SESAH) Conference
9/7/2010From October 13 to 16, Chattanooga will host the 2010 annual convention of the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians. Scholars and preservationists from all over the Southeast will gather at the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel to hear papers and go on tours of some of the city's most notable landmarks. A keynote address by Professor Fikret Yegül of the University of California at Santa Barbara will be held at the Hunter Museum of Art. Dr. Yegül will discuss the practical and symbolic nature of the column through the history of architecture. Students from UTC will be admitted at no charge to attend the talk, which is scheduled for 6:15 PM on Thursday, October 14, at the Hunter Museum.
