"The Apothecary" Hosts 1st Exhibition
10/10/2010"Recent Discoveries In Science, One Time" is a collaborative exhibition hosted by UTC art majors, and organized under the direction of Professors Buffington and Lewis. The exhibition was opened on Friday, April 30 for a one-night-only event at "The Apothacary", in the Doctor's Building at 744 McCallie Ave at the corner of Palmetto St.
The exhibition was initially inspired by the recent developments in the fields of biology, future transportational physics, cultivatory chemistry, and experimental geology, as well as recent and emerging scientific fields such as nano-theraputic macro-dentistry, and Astro-Zoeronomics.
The exhibition and event served as a reconstruction of some of the most impressive inquiries into various fields of science. As a celebration of process and imagination the show reveals that success is not always measured by the achievement of a goal. The inspiration and drive to create fantastical devices is sometimes more impressive than the end product. Even when the objective is accomplished the amount of work that went into each failure is often forgotten.
