Design Students Partner with Leadership Chattanooga
12/5/2010Modeled on the 826 National reading and literacy programs now located throughout the US, UTC graphic design seniors just completed a 6-week project to seed retail and neighborhood development on the 700 block of MLK Ave. in downtown Chattanooga. Three storefronts, provided with the help of Leadership Chattanooga, were taken over and re-presented as 826 National Storefronts. Each a complete concept, the students developed branding and identity (including logos, signage, packaging, and copy) for three separate storefronts: Mad Labs, for your pet monster supply needs, Instacitiosity, empowering you to take that next step between a mid-sized city and a real metropolis; and the Everlasting Store, where you can find that special something that will last until the end of time.
